Spatial production in Germany often follows a conventional practice: market mechanisms, regulations or a lack of optimism for new typological approaches render innovation difficult. Urban design projects outside the formally planned inner city area often have to be aligned with any context. This studio is about the cultivation of contrasts, mix and urbanity.
