City of Contrast
Spatial production in Germany often follows a convemntional practice: market mechanisms, regulations or a lack of optimism for new typological approaches render innovation difficult. Urban design projects outside the formally planned inner city area often have to be aligned with any context. This studio is about the cultivation of contrasts, mix and urbanity.
The internationally recognised exhibition Skulptur Projekte takes place every 10 years in Münster and transform the city into a hot pot of art enthusiasts, visitors and people involved of all kinds for 100 days. 2027 will be the sixth time the exhibition will take place. Students of the MSA explore potential situations for Skulptur Projekte 2027.
