Studio Nordic Spaces: Ringön
Ringön is an industrial area in the port of Gothenburg. Places for art and culture indicate a beginning transformation. The Studio Nordic Spaces is looking for transformative strategies for Ringön, new living and working models, hybrid typologies and experimental housing in the city based on the further development of the existing ressources and the potential integration of initiatives.
The course is targeted at third-semester bachelor’s students and provides basic knowledge of urban design. The objective is to develop an understanding of cities and environments, uncover inherent relationships and mechanisms, and incorporate these into designs. (Image: Koetter-Kim Architects)
