University of Nepal

The University of Nepal is currently being founded. The studio looks for ideas, strategies and concepts for three future sites – the pre-emptive founding of the campus of the UoN. It will be a testbed studio in order to translate guiding principles and the planning program into spatial sustainable situations sounding out future pathways. Further information here.

Sitting

2020 Sitzen

In light of the increasing privatisation of public space and of the degeneration of street furniture by companies such as Wall and JCDecaux, there is a demand for action in terms of spatial qualities and organisation of urban spaces. Prototypical interventions and landscapes of sitting are developed as instruments for the revival of public space.

Garden City 2.0

Today, the garden city is regarded as a new role model for the integration of density and open space, the cohesion of communities and for urban gardening. The studio investigates urban-rural topologies, the interface between interior and exterior spaces, typological innovations and new images for urban patterns of the 21st century.

Münster’s city center is the perfect setting for the flaneur. Yet, the results of of incremental planning pragmatism can be found outside the popular ring-shaped promenade. The project area along the railway line is ready for an urban transformation and asks for ideas for a new neighborhood (three awards).

Road Atlas

As a joint research team, we investigate European main roads in the context of rapidly changing mobility. The development of a catalogue will deepen the understanding of the important urban element of road space and sharpen the application of suitable analysis techniques. (Prof. Lydia Rintz)
