The Westfalian city of Münster is a popular place of residence. 30.000 newcomers are expected to become residents by 2030 according to demographic census (2015). This urban design studio is an ideas competition looks for new ways of living and housing, small flats, strategies for using niches, concepts for the conversion and the transformation of urban space. In 2017 the Sculpture Projects in Münster take place, a vibrant event changing the life in the whole city for a limited time. This context triggered the idea of the “Bauprojekte” a format for unsolicited architectural and strategic interventions and innovations for places in the city.
